hyper-realistic paintings challenge the art of photography

Hyper-realistic painting exhibits have recently been the center of a lot of attention. Whether it's how real they look, or the storytelling, this creative art form stole many art admirers away. I've found myself enjoying the photographic quality of these paintings, at times forgetting that I'm actually looking at paintings.

A fabulous example would be Anna Halldin-Maule who describes her work as representative of the joys and quirks of being a woman obsessed by today’s fashion-culture. Enjoy!
